Kevin James Olival

Research

Very broadly, my research interests are threefold:

1. Ecology and evolution of emerging infectious diseases, especially bat-borne zoonoses.

2. Population genetics and phylogeography of mammals, specifically large fruit bats (Pteropus spp.)

3. Biodiversity conservation at both ecosystem and taxon-specific scales.
